I thought so too at first til I looked closer at the shacks.The Savoies had boat sheds on their beach. Taller and open on the water side.They built many boats including one for my uncle Ron Dalziel.It wasnamed the Eunice D.after my mother.
Looks like boat is parked in front of Savoie land to me.
Photo looks like it was taken from dock onwest side of chrome island.Shacks on beach ,Denman island called Princetown.Populated mostly by young men hoping to avoid the draft during ww2.Last resident to live there was John [cat]Carlson.
i’m never going to have a moan about going to town again!
