i remember Phyllis’s father, George Pyatt. He never took his hat off, which just got right up Bevan Savory’s nose. At New Horizon’s functions, on seeing George’s hat still on his head, Bevan would loudly proclaim, “there are ladies present!”. Can’t remember his wife’s name, she used to come to spinning and weaving.
