Love it! It startles and amuses. What a perfect way to salvage an eyesore and make a statement about art.
yes!
…Just waiting for the crackers and soup bowl….
This is delightful and absolutely unexpected.
And quite excellent in its execution, yes?
A delightful surprise but then I don’t drive by every day.
Long Live POP ART!
FYI: the message on the end of the tank reads
“In 1965, Andy Warhol painted this Pop Art image as a comment on popular culture. It has become a defining icon of 20th Century Art. THANK YOU Andy Warhol 1928-1987
Painted for the Hornby Island Arts Council. Summer 2012, by Roberta Pyx Sutherland”
Oh I don’t know! It is still littering!
That’s the consensus around here too. This water tank was pretty dented etc and horizontal instead of vertical.Funny, I heard today that Campbell’s is putting out special edition Warhol labels on soups in an effort to revive the brand.
I didn’t think I’d like it but after seeing it,I do.
i can’t believe there is no comment her yet. Let me start the fray. I actually like the concept, but think a more apt comment would have been a Lucky can.
