I took that chrysler Newport to Ucluelet where a friend gave me a huge bunch of cool stuff from an old settler house. Solved the problem of bringing it all back here by cutting the whole top of the vehicle off with a torch and welding some tarpaulin stays all around. Brought all the stuff home to Hornby piled about eight feet high with a tarp overtop. It started by sticking your thumb in a hole where the key used to go. Susan hated it because her job was to stick a sock on the end of a stick into the butterfly valve to choke it. Occasionally starting it that way included a one foot flame and a minor explosion.

A semi-practical use for my 10,000 historical photos
Great story, Mike.
